Jennifer Tilly, born on September 16, 1958 in Los Angeles under extremely poor circumstances. Her mother was an unsuccessful teacher and actor, was a salesperson for automobiles while her father was an auto salesman. Jennifer was the second child from her extended family. She frequently accompanied her mother who worked as a teacher at school as well as a theatre teacher to shows. She found her very impressive. Jennifer's parents divorced when she was five. Jennifer spent most of her childhood living in British Columbia after her mom moved there along with the other four children. Jennifer was not a scholar however, as a child she was very artistic. Her school was often the subject of bullying as a result of her experiences in Canadian schools. When her enthusiasm for theatre diminished in high school she started participating in plays together with her mom. The mother of her children encouraged the entire family to get involved in arts and crafts. After that, she immediately began to take action.
